- Richmond Hill Women's Institute
- 1 outbreak of hostilities in 1914, the Women's Institute became a focus for community war work. On August
- 2 as she records her impressions for the Richmond Hill Women's Institute history
- 3 meeting under the joint auspices of the Women's Institute and Home and School Association, with
- 4 of the provincial and national Women's Institute, and locally, the Institute pushed women
- 5 speaker at the inaugural meeting of the Women's Institute in 1913 and member of the Horticultural
- 6 of Yonge Street in 1918. The Women's Institute also took an active interest in improving
- 7 however, were soon overshadowed by the Women's Institute as a vehicle for women's involvement in community
- 8 Women's Institute (or WI) proved to be the most open in its appeal
- 9 Richmond Hill Women's Institute held its organizational meeting on January 27,
- 10 speaking contest sponsored by the Women's Institute; garden plots, where pupils planted seeds in the
