- 18 John Arnold, son-in-law of Abner Miles, was named captain and commanding officer of
- 19 the contributions of early leaders like Abner and James Miles, William Jenkins, and
- 20 Yonge Street coaching trade. As Abner Miles discovered early in the century, the
- 21 arrived from New Jersey in 1808, married Abner Miles' daughter Lucy, and eventually took
- 22 Presbyterians - land once owned by Abner Miles and donated to the church by his
- 23 John Langstaff and a grandson of Abner Miles, James Langstaff provided a link with
- 24 Business with the Mileses
